⚡ Consumer unit upgrade on Wildes Road, Burnham-on-Sea.
The homeowner had been experiencing intermittent tripping. I traced this to earth leakage building up across several circuits sharing one RCD.
The new consumer unit gives each circuit its own RCBO protection, preventing that combined leakage from tripping a shared RCD.
I also replaced the undersized main earthing conductor with 16mm² cable, using the old cable to pull the replacement through the cavity.
